A Family We Have Supported Since 2023

At USPUK, we are proud to have supported hundreds of individuals and families rebuilding their lives in the UK after displacement. Among them is one family we have known since shortly after launching our Afghan Project in 2023.

Before being relocated to the UK, the father worked on a project supporting the British Government in Afghanistan. Today, he lives in the UK with his wife and three children, rebuilding their lives as a family of five.

Our support has continued as the family’s needs have changed. We initially provided information and guidance on private housing, followed by support with Afghan passport extensions.The father was on full-time employment and worked for over a year before having to stop due to a medical condition. During his recovery, we continued to provide guidance and practical support as the family's circumstances changed. More recently, we guided the family through the B1 English language test process, which they successfully passed. They have also attended our financial education workshops on budgeting and saving, and staying safe from scams and fraud.

From helping the family navigate their early years of resettlement to supporting them as they work towards greater stability and security, we have been there at different stages of their journey. Now, we hope to support this family, and others like them, as they prepare for the Life in the UK Test and the next stage of building their future in the UK.

For this family, having trusted support available as their needs have changed has helped them navigate each stage of their resettlement journey. Even when they faced unexpected challenges, they remained resilient and determined to continue rebuilding their lives in the UK. 

Today, their children are settled in school and beginning to dream about their future careers, including professional careers that once felt beyond reach. As they prepare for the next stage of their resettlement journey, we hope that USPUK`s continued support to the family can ease some of the pressure and help them move forward with greater confidence and stability.
