What is the Homes for Ukraine scheme? Who is sponsor?

Homes for Ukraine is a UK government initiative that enables people living in the UK to sponsor Ukrainian individuals or families who have been displaced by the war. As a sponsor, you offer a safe place to stay and help them begin a new chapter in the UK.

As a sponsor, you:

  • Provide free accommodation for at least 6 months

  • Help your guest settle into the community and access services

  • Receive a £350 monthly “thank you” payment from the UK government

  • Play a key role in helping someone rebuild their life in safety

Ukrainian guests can stay in the UK for up to 3 years, with full access to healthcare, schools, benefits, and work opportunities.

This is a life-changing way to support people fleeing conflict, and you’ll be supported by organisations like USPUK throughout the process.

USPUK ia a recognised provider under the UK Government’s Homes for Ukraine Visa Scheme, USPUK continues to support safe and appropriate sponsorship matches for displaced Ukrainians.

You can make a difference

At USPUK, we support not only Ukrainian families on their journey to the UK but also the generous hosts who open their homes to them. From the moment they register on our website throughout their hosting experience, we are here to help.
