Afghan Community Newsletter - January 2026

Dear Afghan Community and Friends,

Happy New Year. We hope 2026 has begun peacefully for you and your families.

We have some exciting initiatives planned for this year, which we look forward to announcing in early February.

New initiatives for the Afghan community in 2026

One of these initiatives will focus on supporting you and your family members to prepare for the Life in the UK Test, English language exam, and the citizenship process for those becoming eligible.

We are also organising a financial knowledge workshop this spring, and we will share more details about this in February.

Legal Support on Employment Rights

If you are in need of legal support with employment matters, such as pay, dismissal, or workplace issues, please get in touch and we will try to assist or connect you with our legal partners.

Other support from USPUK

Our one-to-one consultations remain open for anyone needing guidance or help with forms, housing or general support. You are welcome to book an appointment in person or online.

Book 1-1 consultation

We will continue posting updates and opportunities on our WhatsApp group and Instagram page throughout the month. Please keep an eye out in case something may be useful to you or someone you know.

We are also continuing to respond to enquiries. If you feel stuck, confused or need support, we are here to help. And if we are unable to assist directly, we will do our best to signpost you to the right place.

If you have any questions, please email us at afghanistan@uspuk.org
