Three years later, Ukraine is still in the dark: Find out how you could help
As Halloween approaches, the world may celebrate fright and fear in jest. But for Ukrainians, the darkness is real. On the night of October 9–10, 2025, Russia once again launched a massive drone and missile attack on Ukraine — targeting Kyiv, Zaporizhzhia and other cities.
💥 12 people were injured in the capital alone, according to Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko.
💔 In Zaporizhzhia, a seven-year-old boy, Makar Dorosh, was killed, and several civilians were injured, including his parents.
⚙️ Energy, gas, and water infrastructure were damaged — leaving thousands without electricity, heating or clean water.
This hauntingly echoes the events of October 10, 2022, when Russia began its first massive strike on Ukraine’s power grid. Three years later, nothing has changed — the attacks continue, and innocent lives remain under threat.
Our focus at USPUK stays the same: protecting children, making sure Ukrainians have a voice in our communities, and helping people gain the skills and opportunities that lead to work, stability, and dignity.

Hosting Story
“When news of the Russian full-scale invasion of Ukraine broke in 2022, my wife and I felt we couldn’t just stand by.
We wanted to live out our Christian faith in a practical way and use what we had to help. With a spare bedroom sitting empty, we redecorated, passed all the required checks, and opened our home to someone in need.”
Please Help Us Bring more Families with Children to Safety
We would also like to express our deep gratitude to one of our long-standing sponsors, who recently made a direct donation of £500 which is the biggest one-off individual donation we have ever received.
This generous contribution will allow us to assist five more families — providing individual consultations, document checks, visa and travel arrangements — helping them find safety and stability in the UK. Every pound can make a real difference for those in need and we are thankful to everyone supporting our cause.
It is important to note that USPUK does not rely on any governmental or council funding. Every match, every consultation, and every safe arrival we make possible is thanks to the trust and generosity of individual supporters and donors like you

👣 Help Us Bring 50 more Families with Children to Safety
You can also support Ukrainians, by donating to our case.
Our dedicated team has walked 200 miles this summer to raise funds for 50 more families fleeing war—so they can find safety and rebuild their lives in the UK. Thanks to your generosity, we have raised £1101 so far.
But as the war continues, the need to support families only grows. Every contribution makes a difference. Please donate if you can.
Every step makes a difference. Thank you for standing with displaced families.
