USPUK Launches New Drop‑In Sessions

USPUK Launches New Drop‑In Sessions to Support Displaced Communities in the UK

At USPUK, we understand that sometimes the best support happens face-to-face. That’s why we’re proud to announce the launch of our new Drop‑in Sessions—a dedicated space for individuals and families displaced from Ukraine and Afghanistan to receive in-person help and guidance in a safe, welcoming environment.

This new initiative offers free, confidential appointments at our office in London, providing tailored support for those navigating complex issues related to immigration, welfare, housing, education, and community integration. With a bilingual team fluent in English, Ukrainian, Dari (Farsi), and Pashto, these sessions remove language barriers and create space for more personal and accessible conversations.

The Drop‑in Sessions are by appointment only and designed for people who need one-on-one advice—whether it’s help understanding your visa status, renewing your passport, accessing benefits like Universal Credit or Healthy Start, or connecting with education and employment opportunities. We also offer support for those going through delays or refusals in their visa applications under the Homes for Ukraine scheme or those needing help with the Ukrainian Permission Extension.

Importantly, these sessions also serve as a gateway to wider support. If needed, our team can refer individuals to trusted legal advisors, mental health professionals, food banks, and employment services. We aim to ensure no one is left without help or direction.

The sessions are free of charge, but booking is required to ensure we can give everyone the time and attention they deserve. Once your session is confirmed, we’ll let you know what documents to bring and how to prepare. Appointments can be made by emailing us at info@uspuk.org or by filling out the form on our website.

This project builds on USPUK’s wider commitment to supporting refugee communities through community-building. Alongside the Drop‑in Sessions, we continue to offer workshops, events, and online WhatsApp and Telegram groups where people can stay informed and connected.

As we launch this new chapter of in-person support, we invite Ukrainians and Afghans across London and beyond to reach out. Whether your questions are big or small, our team is here to help—compassionately, confidentially, and face-to-face.
