Another Winter of War Without Electricity - Find out how you could help
One million without heat and water after Russian strikes, Ukraine says [BBC.CO.UK]
About 100,000 families in Kharkiv remain without heating after Russian attack
As winter temperatures drop, many cities across Ukraine face power cuts, heating shortages and damaged infrastructure due to ongoing attacks. Families are living through prolonged cold, darkness and uncertainty.
Our focus at USPUK in 2026 remains the same: protecting children, making sure Ukrainians have a chance to use the safe pathways into the UK and helping people gain the skills and opportunities that lead to work, stability, and dignity.
If you are able to host a single person or a mother with a child while extreme cold continues with temperatures dropping to −25°C and children forced to sleep in unheated apartments, please fill in our sign-up form or email us to find out more.
Already hosting with USPUK?
We’d love to hear about your experience as a host and see how we can support you further. Your feedback helps us improve support for both hosts and guests. And if you're open to hosting again once your current guests move on, please let us know - we’re always looking for safe and welcoming homes.
Not sure whether hosting is suitable for you?

A new petition led by the Ukrainian community in the UK calls on the Government to provide clear, fair and time-limited pathways to settlement for Ukrainians who have rebuilt their lives here after fleeing the war.
Thousands of families are working, studying, raising children and contributing to their communities — yet remain stuck on short-term visas with no certainty about their future. This ongoing insecurity affects employment, education and children’s wellbeing. By signing the petition, you can help urge the UK to offer stability, dignity and a realistic route to settlement for Ukrainians who cannot safely return home.
👣 Help Us Bring 50 more Families to Safety in 2026
If you are not in the position to host, you can also support Ukrainians, by donating to our case. As the war continues, the need to support families only grows. Every contribution makes a difference.
Please donate if you can. Raised funds go towards our casework, matching and visa process for Ukrainians and post-arrival advice both for our hosts and guests.
Every step makes a difference. Thank you for standing with displaced families.
