USPUK impact report for 2024-25

We are proud to share our Impact Report for 2024–25.

This has been a year of real milestones for USPUK. Gowth we are proud of, challenges we met head-on and moments that remind us exactly why this work matters. From the families we helped navigate systems that felt impossible, to the communities we built alongside people who arrived in the UK with very little, this report tells the story of what a small, dedicated team can achieve when it stays close to the people it serves.

Over the past year, USPUK has continued to strengthen its role as a trusted, community-led support organisation, responding to the evolving needs of displaced people in the UK.

Our approach has focused on combining practical guidance with culturally informed support, ensuring individuals and families can navigate complex systems with greater confidence. By working closely with both Ukrainian and Afghan communities, we have prioritised accessibility, trust-building, and early intervention by recognising that even small, timely support can prevent more serious challenges later on.

Displacement does not end when someone arrives safely. The months and years that follow are filled with complexity: visas, housing, employment, language, belonging. USPUK exists in that space, walking alongside people through all of it. This year we went further than ever before, deepening our work with both the Ukrainian and Afghan communities we serve, strengthening our partnerships and finding new ways to reach people who needed us most.

This report is our way of sharing with everyone who has supported us, partnered with us, or is simply curious about what community-led refugee support looks like in practice. It is also a moment to pause and recognise the people at the heart of everything we do, the families who trusted us, and the team who showed up for them every single day.
