Visa success for a family of five from Dnipro

This is one of many examples of how USPUK supports displaced families facing bureaucratic delays, especially when young children are involved.

We are thrilled to share that the big family — parents Antonina and Vitalii and their three young children (aged 9, 5, and just 5 months) — have finally received their UK visas through the Homes for Ukraine scheme after a challenging and delayed process.

Their application, submitted in April, became stuck due to a lack of response from local authorities. The family remained in Dnipro, anxiously waiting for updates — and with three little ones, the pressure was understandably high.

When they reached out to USPUK in June, we immediately escalated their case to the Home Office. We stayed in close contact with government caseworkers, pushed for updates, and followed up regularly with the relevant agencies — including identifying additional review layers specific to Northern Ireland, where their sponsor lives.

Despite delays and concerns over housing capacity, we successfully advocated for the case to move forward. Thanks to persistence, collaboration, and many supportive emails, their applications were finally assigned to a caseworker in July — and on July 28, Antonina shared the joyful news: they had received their visas!

A big thank you to our team, our contacts at the Home Office, and of course, to this lovely family for their patience and trust. 💛💙
